As for me, I found a Monogram Kit of a 1964 Porsche 904 in 1/25th scale in my old stash of kits (amongst countless other wheeled contraptions) which I intend to build in parallel with my Fw190.

I can tell it's gonna be a pain as even dry-fitting the body panels together is proving to be a female dog. I'll bring the kit along on wednesday so you guys can have a look.

The kit comes with decals for the race car that won the Targa Florio but I think I want it to be a street version.

yes if you have wheels axles and of course shafts etc ...I don't mind if you want to build one, be my guest...

Wayne I thing the best parts for the wheels , they look like those 50's racing cars ...if you have an old spare 109E 1/32 or preferably 1/24 not wanted even if it is painted I will be delighted to have ...

This is a model I did a few years back... think I was around 18 or 19 when I did it....

for me it looks nice build...

What about the 109F Joseph has for sale? it's in 1/32 and could be a good candidate for the hot rod. It doesn't have to be an "Emil" does it?

Eh Dottore you are forgetting that we AFV nuts can always do a technical or a civilian impressed one, besides there is also the commercial role of certain military softskins, a commercial Humvee or an Opel Blitz with adverts on to name a couple from different periods ... Ok here is an example of an impressed car or small van forget the place but if some interested tell me....

ok find it ...A German soldier in Westende, Belgium washes a civilian car impressed into German military service.
The tactical symbol for a motorized Pionier Company has been painted on the left front fender alongside a small letter "K" and above the Wehrmacht Heer prefix (WH). The right fender carries an unknown unit emblem.

The car still carries the civilian license plate IZ-226285 where IZ is the prefix for the Rhine Provinz. Once officially incorporated into a German unit, the car would be assigned a military license plate. The German military and government license plate prefixes during WWII were: WH = Wehrmacht Heer (army), WM = Wehrmacht Marine (navy), WL = Wehrmacht Luftwaffe (air force), SS [runes] = Schutzstaffel, OT = Organization Todt, Pol = Polizei, DR = Deutsche Reichsbahn, and RP = Reichspost.
