Hobbyboss 1/48th kit, true detail seat build OOB. Not totally happy with the end result but glad that it is finished so that I can move towards something else.

Yes, what memories as I remember DROOLING over it in 1986 when it was only an infant of 3yrs I love you Twisted Evil

JF, sorry I relegated you to 2nd spot, but I'm sure you understand the JOY of seeing Marco's Golden Oldies Sad

Having said that, your production line never seize to Amaze & Inspire one & all mostly because you never compromise quality vis a vis quantity Cool

Gordon and Ivan, thanks. It certainly lived up to his WWII name counter part, and from the same stable.

Marco, I am not happy mainly with issue regarding the kit rather than the paintwork. Really got a bit itchy about this and wanted to finish it as soon as possible and move on!!
Glad to see some of your models.
p.s. - white looks brighter cause of the camera flash, but it is still white anyway!

Ray, thanks and no problem for 2nd relegation, we must keep trying to bring him back!!!!!!

    Hi Joseph

Still looks awesome, notwithstanding any "mistakes" by the manufacturer - Your paintwork really makes up for any such shortcomings.

    Prosit.

'SLUFF - Short Little Ugly Fat Fellow'

    FS30219 - Tan
    Fs34102 - Medium Green
    Fs34079 - Dark Green

Same for the thunderchief in in wrap around scheme and when used with fs36622(very light grey undersides)

Hasegawa on the right, there is quite a difference in the intake profile, and compare to the picture link above. The hobbyboss corsair on the left looks sort of squashed and the intake in no rounded.

Joe so why you choose Hobbyboss, when there is more accurate Hasegawa... scratch

I did not have the hasegawa D version, so when this came out I went for it. Who would have guessed that there is this gross error in a recently released modern kit(just about a year or so) of a modern aircraft. Sad

I have made up my mind, when I will have a chance I will get the Hasegawa A-7D and plan to finish it in 2 tone grey Smile

The Hasegawa kit looks spot on as regards accuracy of the nose and the shape of the intake, the photo you took is the same angle as the one in the link and they look exactly alike.

The picture confirms that the intake of the hobbyboss is flawed and hasegawa got the intake right.
