What are your views about these figures? Are they good enough to be converted to Maltese subjects? Especially the Arquebusier.

You open a can of worms Ray, these were the first candidates we had to use for that infamous White Elephant, the 1/72 Fort St Elmo project SSM was gonna do some decades ago ... not bad but they are on the small side. By the way I got hold of a Zvezda set - Jannisaries, these are a beauty in 1/72 ... but compared with these Revell they are much taller!!!!

Does Revell re-issued this set which has been OFP for quite a long time?

I think they are still OFP, but saw them on ebay. So you think they are ok for Maltese subjects, given that SSM was going to use them for St.Elmo.

They are the only styrene figures available, not bad but lacking some detail and features. They are good for 1565 period [not the dogs and the armoured horsemen]. You also get soldiers in quilted gambesons, which were introduced in the S.american campaign [influenced from the natives] that by luck work out perfect for the local quilted gambesons issued to the Maltese Militias ... the man at arms are very good with morions and half armour, you also get the crossbowmen which we now they were also used locally [without that pavesi].

these were also reboxed by another company ... the Ceaser ones are different not reboxed.

as I told you not bad but they need work if not creating quantities on a base?
