And finally the 4 tone camo has been applied after a lot of time drawing, masking with white tack and masking tape! Evil or Very Mad

    For paints I used:

    • model master Dark Tan
    • model master Olive green
    • Revell 68 dark green raf
    • Humbrol 28 camouflage grey

Post shading was done by adding white to the base colour.

    Here is the progress:

Camoflage grey and dark tan applied

Awaiting the application of dark green

Just to give an idea on what masking was needed

    Raf dark green applied

I made the big mistake of drawing out the camouflage using pencil, thinking that removing the excess lines with white tack would be easy. No it wasnt! it wouldnt rub off! i then rubbed off the pencil with the help of some water but as i did so it would also remove paint and it would leave behind this white residue that got lodged into the panel lines and wouldnt come out! so i had to bring out my fine brushes and paint over these white lines and manualy paint over the patches which got rubbed off.  Evil or Very Mad  Mad

184 DECALS LATER Evil or Very Mad ... The ridiculous never ending task of decalling (most stencils) is now complete!
The model was washed with water colours. Those who never tried using water colours for washing i suggest you give them a try. It dries quickly and it has a very good pigment coverage and rubs off very easily and is not permanent.

    The model during the wash.

I think you did a great job Adrian, a bit more attention for the scribing but it was not easy either for a first try. i would also have used another colour for the wash not black, a bit too pronounced and it enhances any defects in the scribing even more. But really nice well done.
