The end of the thrusty toothpick????

Post  Dottore on Mon Mar 05, 2012 1:37 pm

I have recently purchased and tried these photo etch super glue applicator. They are meant to pick up a drop of super glue and by placing the tip of the applicator on the precise point of application the super glue is supposed to flow by capillarity wherever the tip is applied. Cleaning couldn't be easier just heating it till the super glue burns away...

After using or the past weeks I can say I am a convert. LOve this little device which really does what it is supposed to. I have used the same applicator for weeks despite them coming in a pack of 14! Nothing beats the precise way it applies super glue without drying away immediately...

If anyone wants to try it out... I doubt ill need a new one before months so I can easily part with one of the rest...

    Just a pointer!

PS I bought mine from Voyager but others have advertised a similar product with slightly different design...

Was in doubt if these really work but looks they do, but does the glue stick to the metal?

I have seen another similar item made in a particular plastic that want stick to superglue and just wipe it off ...

Isma Doc Roe, I know you don't give a flippin flyin tart re this Evil or Very Mad but I stopped using a toothpick for superglue application quite some time ago tongue

I use a hypodermic needle, with a 45ish* degree bend at the tip, but always encountered the same difficulty as when one uses a toothpick, to pick up & distribute the superglue pale

I'm sure I'll find your kindly donated small tool especially useful when the need arises to pick up & distribute superglue near & upon a ready painted piece Suspect
