Hi guys, this is a figure i painted for my goof friend Brad Hagen aka Slingshot. It is obviously not up to your standards but i gave it a good try. Hope you like it.

I tried researching the subject in the two books i have. I also tried to copy the dog's pattern, incidentally one of his hind paws was white.

Those figures really look great Brian! Thanks so much far painting them up. They look so much better than I was ever expecting after seeing them in the raw resin, I know Mike does a great job on sculpting, but the painting so I brought him and his dog to life. I know you it said how you painted the dog, but it definitely doesn't look like it was an easy job. I like the base as well, nice and simple with the dried leaves helping give a bit of sense of time as well as breaking up the grass base. I just hope I can do half as well on my Black Prince figure, considering painting him up as a early Knights Templar.

You might need to put forward some questions about the knight to the others, they will guide you accordingly, all i do is study the work of our great figure painters and try to do what they do. I would also go easy and post progress pics to have feedback along the way.

Brian you did an outstanding job believe me & as you know & I've said it before, I really admire you for coming out of "your box" & improvising where/when necessary.

Brad, I'm sure you'll be a proud owner of this gem & as Brian hinted, any questions during the whole Black Prince process, just fire along & anyone of the figure painters around here will give you a helping hand or two or three I love you

Thanks guys, it's been 35-40 years since I tried painting any figures and I was horrible back then. The Black Prince is a 120 mm by Verlinden that looks nice and I got it for a good price. No flesh showing which was a plus for my first figure. I will definitely have a bunch of questions. I will throw an out-of-the-box review of it up on the site.

Brian, don't be too hard on yourself. You did a great job, especially the jacket. I'm sure that if you stick to figures you'll make a great modeller SmileSmileSmileSmile. OK OK I'm just joking SmileSmileSmile
