Yesterday I was mostly buzzing around the skies of southern England in a wartime Piper Cub :)

And I'm now wondering if I can get the pennies together to buy a share (wanders off to look at the model stash):







Flew with my buddy Allan (who has a share already) from White Waltham, near London, to a Cub 'Fly In' at Popham and back (really liked the atmosphere at Popham - with members of public allowed air-side and a few stalls with books etc. for sale..

That looks like a fantastic time! That's always been one of my favorite aircraft. And it should qualify as a Warbird on top of it. That would be cool if you could join that group and go flying with them more often. Need a video next time!

Hi guys - yes - very lucky...

I've had a private Pilot's Licence for two years now - and that's something I was told I could never do as I have one poor eye but a new National licence with lower medical requirements enabled me to achieve a dream - still pinching myself!

Am seriously considering getting a share (it's a quarter share that's available) but it will have to wait until at least the end of this year if still available. In mean-time will get some more time in her over the summer.

Normally fly Cessna 152s, a Piper Warrior, or Aquila with RAF Halton Flying Club - but the Cub has a lot more character - if somewhat slower!

And, yes, a genuine warbird!

Presume there's private flying in Malta?

Paul - planning on next March to visit Malta if everything goes to plan. I may well be asking for advice on places to stay at some point - can't beat local knowledge!
