Your flood

Brian sent me a link to one of your newspapers that had a lot of pictures of the flood, Ryan had been telling me there was some severe storms, but I had no idea it was anywhere near that terrible! Hopefully all of you get through it okay with no damage. I thought one of the posts at the end of the newspaper article was interesting as they said it was hard to find out anything about the flood because the news outlets only talked about the elections. The exact same thing is happening here. The hurricane hit New Orleans causing over 20 inches of rain in 24 hours and some massive storm surges, topping some of the levies and causing lots of damage and putting rescuers lives on the line going in to rescue people that didn't leave, but it's almost impossible to find out anything on the news as it's pretty much nonstop coverage of the Republican & Democrat conventions and otherwise just distorted coverage of the campaigns. Sickening.

That really is a dramatic rescue! Really looks like a terrible flood.

Over here, politics also rules over everything with the news, only thing is, you can't believe most of what the news tries to spin in favor of their favorite candidate, investigative journalism is dead, as is fair and honest reporting unfortunately.
