    Il2 Shturmovik Tamiya 1/48

Post  ajcmac on Thu Aug 30, 2012 5:12 am

I started this model a little more than three weeks.

With the Tamiya XF-22 started to paint parts of the interior, the landing gear wells ...

Then I applied lights and shadows, chipped paint (brown with a little black), a wash and finally painted the details.

    First the cockpit.

The cockpit ready, missing glue the pilot seat because I'm waiting for the Eduard seat belts for this model.

Then came the gunner's compartment. The treatment was the same. Lights and shadows, chipping, a wash and paint the details.

The support of the machine gun.

Here now with the fuel tank already glued.

    Hope you enjoy.

Is your chipping being done with the sponge painting technique or brush strokes?

Really delicate effect, very convincing ...
