@nunnu pec....... thanks! Thanks for looking.

@Brian .... Thanks! I am getting used to my new camera! I had a borrowed Olympus SLR and got a Nikon SLR that I found on Maltapark at a very good price! I'm still experimenting with lights and exposure. As you can see the last photo is more faithful to the real one than the previous.

Of course this is just a base paint......... weathering and washes will alter the actual colour......... but I'm waiting for the decals that I ordered because the ones with the kit were very think!

Totally awesome Noel, a work of art. Thanks for the detail photos showing the steps in making the chipping. That is an excellent tutorial. Well done, what a beauty.

Looking back at the photos, yes you did an awesome job but IMHO all is a bit "üniform" that is, scratches almost everywhere like someone "really scratched them" Evil or Very Mad

Sorry Noel, as I said it is MHO after all

You might be correct Ray but only reference photos can really confirm your judgement or otherwise, i don;t know how beaten up and weathered these vehicles were.

Good scratching Noel but as Ray said maybe you can use a sponge to have a more random effect:

    Noted:
    a) The Staghounds were famous for being overloaded with stowage. Command had to let them go ahead as long as it does not obstruct the turret rotation.
You can imagine stuff and ammo boxes being loaded on and off the fenders of the vehicle, so scratch marks were evident.

    b) The scratch marks look pronounced at the moment but when filters and washes start piling up they will be subdued.

    c) To win a gold at Euro ...... I went more for the artistic image than realistic!!! Muxx ekk iridu!

    d) Tancred...... in fact I still have to tackle some with the sponge. The URL you sent me..... who is that guy? He looks good! But I prefer to go to a local club show Smile and take notes from them Laughing

Don;t know about you but i think that this is your best AFV so far, it is totally awesome and so real looking. Love the last pic. Try to put it in a simple setting and take some pics. it will look totally real. Your weathering is brilliant i think but then i don;t build AFV's.

Definitely your best ever Noel, that is totally real. the close ups are so nice and they would defintely show up any flaws but i just could not find any. Best weathering i have seen also. Fantiastic, so well done.
