    Libyan BMP1

Post  iCocker on Mon Nov 05, 2012 8:47 pm

My ongoing project a Libyan captured BMP1 from the Benghazi Garrison during the first days of the uprising.

Model is the old monster from DML, finally we have a new one by Trumpeter but spending months updating this one felt bad to put it aside, so here is the painting....

    Black undercoat

    Base coat, modulated soviet green

Desert base coat + chipping [used the excellent AK chipping medium]

3 tone camo + chipping ... next step weathering ...

It is true my friends, no particular idea for this one for now, I am more concentrating as a dio on that joint project we are to do hopefully next year, the truck is ready to receive the winterwash and start converting all the figures, constantly watching Icetruckers on Discovery to get the idea of a truck in ice, as I have been seeing too much mud when this one has to get ice instead ... from Euro got all Hornet heads needed ... so let's focus on that for now ... this is a project for painting and weathering for the timebeing :p
