Lovely Noel absolutely brilliant work and AMEN to that Ray, there are no clouds on the horizon, seems like it is going to be a bad winter for modelling.

OK..... I'm trying my first attempt at scratch building a figure!!!

Dead German crew commander dangling from the turret. I will probably make some serious injury to his knee (as per original photo) and bullet wounds to his chest.

Just my comment Noel, i think that the lower part of the leg, from the knee down is a bit too long. That is the impression i get.

Just another comment Noel, if that guy is dead, then he is totally limp and the arms are not so naturally positioned.  The right arm should be resting on the tank turret top but the left would probably droop down over the side of the turret and would be hanging loose in the air. Just my thought of course but when i kept looking at it i somehow thought that something was not right.

    Thanks Brian.

Regarding the dead position, I'm following (not exact) a WWII wartime picture that always impressed me. The dead crew member must have entered a stage a of  Rigor mortis  recognizable signs of death, caused by chemical changes in the muscles after death, causing the limbs of the corpse to become stiff and difficult to move or manipulate.[1] In humans, it commences after about three to four hours, reaches maximum stiffness after 12 hours, and gradually dissipates until approximately 48 to 60 hours after death.]2]

I might change the angle slightly though.

One headache is what damage to simulate on the tank.  Ivan suggested anti- tank rifle shots.  I'm thinking that the shot or shots entered the tank and killed one crew and injured badly the other who tried to bail out but was machine gunned down in the process.

    More Progress....
