Help on Cutting Empty Help on Cutting

    Post  Maxi_Model Thu May 09, 2013 10:30 am

    Hi All,

Recently I'm starting to do some upgrades to my standard box models, Smile learning every day and I came acrossa problem which my mind couldn't think on a solution (it could be a very simple solution but my mind refused to solve it Razz ) I need to cut round pieces of plasticard for tops, plugs and many other purposes, all of different sizes. Could anyone illuminate me on what is teh simplest way to cut perfectly round circles of different sizes (preferable not using any expensive or elaborate tools)

Thanks everyone, your forum and help made me much better in this hobby. I will soon post some results of my first semi scratch built model Smile

    Regards
    Ray

Depends on the size of your desired round cuts Shocked

There is a compass cutter made by Olfa, which cuts from a radius of 5mm up to 5cm or so......it thru paper & plastic card up to 1mm tickness with a bit more stress....that is you have to make several passes forward & backwards to cut thru, but there is nothing without sweat & blood I presume Twisted Evil

Go on don't be a stranger in posting your work & don't be shy to join the club "in the flesh" Twisted Evil you'll be more then welcome in our unique mad house pirat in simple words "The Best Club in The World" cheers

I checked the Olfa cutters but all I found start from a minimum of 1 cm diameter (5mm radius) isn't there any smaller?
