    Spitfire Mk IX Eduard 1/48

Post  ajcmac on Fri Jul 26, 2013 5:40 pm

After a brief stint by tanks, I gave up Embarassed . I could not achieve the desired results.

I returned to the aircraft models with a Eduard model. The new Spitfire Mk IX in 1/48 scale. Is already at the stage of painting camouflage.

    The interiors.

The model already ready to start painting.

Well done, what can i say, i love the weathering and especially the wear at the wing root where the pilot and crew step up. Can you please post some close up shots and explain how you did that, it is really fantastic and looks exactly as it does in real life pics. Well done, weathered but not overdone.

Silver first applied with a sponge. Then, with a silver pencil, applied  along the lines of the panels.
I have no pictures of the process. I tried to take some pictures but I can not better than the ones I already have, because of glossy varnish.

    I finished the wash.

And close to the end. Let's see if I can finish this another kit. Now I just need to glue the antennas, paint and glue the landing gear and the exhaust pipes.
