Ive got my hands on revells enamel matt varnish. i was wondering is it a good one? who uses it? ive always used testors dul cote which is...matt, but dulls the overall abit and might yellow (its already yellow in the glass tin). does revell matt do the same? if i remember well members say its a great varnish with some great overall sheen.. which is why i bought it!

dilute it well with cellulose thinner...

I just used humbrol matt...its matter than revell but tends to chalk up or whiten the finish if used repeatedly or heavily....

Others will give you their experience...

ive just tried it out on a scrap model by brush. after it dries, its almost invisible to see where you applied it too! maybe cos i applied it on a matt surface. i guess its very clear after all. i wonder what the sheen that iv been told about really is.

Ive used cellulose thinner before.. i do not like it. i stick to white spirit. Rolling Eyes

The chalk up reminds me a bit of model masters dullcote which has alot of white substance in it.

Adria we already told you about this finish , but you have to try it ,and when you see the result you are not going to change it for sure..

Well spray some coats gloss then sand the surface, apply decals another coat or two gloss apply the wash than sand again the gloss and over lapping wash if you are you sing oils , and finish with the last coat, matt, semimatt, gloss what you prefer that's all....go on give it a try..you are there......... cheers
