Saw this at the club and already passed that remark but it is all just positioned in place, nothing is glued yet. I really like what he is doing and the scratchbuilding is really nice.

Robert, don't exagerate with the rust especially on moving parts because it will seem as if the whole thing is jammed up. Otherwise great.

Have to agree with Brian here, the chipping is fine but the rust is overdone, those areas need to be oily with grit and grease ... check out industrial diggers to get a better idea ... work with Tamiya Smoke, Humbrol black, AK oil and engine grim, oil paints and gloss varnishes you create more effects with these ...

Hi Ivan..thanks for your comments...emm do you suggest to paint over the rust area and use it as abase color or étoile u repaint again? And start again.....and share the use of humbrol black? Is it to create oil strikes?

Robert, our great Alex BB once showed me how to put oil on an engine and i always do that in my models, it will look real. You just need some linseed oil, and add small amounts of oil colour to give it the tint you wish then apply sparingly onto the model. You will get a real oily sheen which you cannot beat with varnishes. You have to be ready not to touch the area for quite some time but the effect is really way out.

This is a very good suggestion, the rusty areas I would repaint to the original, chip them a bit make some grease area [dry] and put what Brian suggested on top areas to show fresh oil stains ...
