These are some of the figures which I bought for the diorama I'm working on
and these are currently out of stock, but should be available soon...i hope!

Re: Teutonic knights in 1:72 scale
I bought this Medieval fortress this morning(discontinued kit by Miniart), which I'm thinking of incorporating (in part)as backdrop to the Teutonics Diorama. I'm still waiting for the Soldiers on the march set as they are still out of stock.

miniart models are very very nice sometimes a nightmare to build but this one should not pose any problem

Nice idea Ray, you should consider a siege dio in the future, maybe an attack by a siege tower or a ram on the walls ...

Wow ray what a great looking fort. There is scope for some real nice action there, a great diorama with a good number of figures.

If I'm not mistaken, Mike Blank made a figure of Alexander Nevski a while ago 54mm......m not sure if it was a one of or a production figure

Yes he did. And his masterpiece diorama "Battle on the ice" was also inspired by the same film. It's an old Patriotic (and propogandistic) 1938 movie by Sergei Eisenstein.

Re: Teutonic knights in 1:72 scale
Continued with the painting last night, but not really happy with the result so far I still need to find a better way with this scale. Hope to bring them to the club tomorrow as I certainly need second opinions! Could be that when they are incorportaed in the diorama, they will look good, but I'm not so sure about that. Sorry was too late last night for taking photos, but hope to upload them tonight.

Some in-progress pics...Pics are not so good, but I also have my reserve about the painting. I need your feedback on these two...

Re: Teutonic knights in 1:72 scale
It's quite hard to judge per se from the images, even though your photographer is nothing compared to mine but I think and again judging from the pics that the white for instance needs MORE CONTRAST.....the leather on both horses looks quite ok....
Anyway hope to have a better look this eve, and I'm anticipating a very good and fruitfull meeting as usual
