    NICE work Wayne!

Brian, you have a disciple here. Wow, that's a lot of work there.

Thanks for the kind words guys....

Here's yesterday's progress, mostly on the firewall, oil tank and bottom water pipes

These are the water pipes that run along the bottom of the engine. The loop will be hidden behind the firewall

Apologies for bad quality but taking one handed photographs is sometimes tricky..

Sublime detail Wayne, i love the way you are creating the hoses and also the clips on the various connections for different pipe sizes and types. Once painted, they are going to look so great. Keep this up man!!

Just one thing, before you paint the hoses coat them with something, either primer or white glue, or superglue, whatever you use has to be thin enough to maintain the detail and at the same time close up the tiny gaps between the rings of wire so that it will really look like a hose without any spaces between the wire loops.

You're making old timers from the old modelling school look like apprentices Wayne...well at least ONE of them for sure Sad

You're doing it like it should be done...well you've got one of the best Masters as your mentor...the other one is just relegated to be your photographer Sad

    Small update

Used photo-etched bezels from AirScale to spruce up the blank instrument panel that comes with the kit:

I also had to scratch-build a secondary panel as it is not supplied with the kit, probably because it was not present on the Macchi 202 and this kit is based on the 202.

Progress is slow as I'm still waiting for the gun barrels. I need to make sure that these fit before committing any further engine detail and/or paint.

Started painting the engine... here's where I got to so far.

The ugly finger print sticking out like a sore thumb on the water tank has been corrected.
