This week's update. The cockpit is nearly done. The left hand side is now complete also. i also completed the seat and its supports, the rudder pedals and a scratchbuilt joystick. That is about all for this week. I shall do the oblique firing cannons next and then i can start painting and putting the fuselage together. Maybe there is hope after all.

Thanks Cyril, the pedals themselves are photoetched but the supports are my doing.

Tackled the oblique firing cannon this week. Sorry guys but there are lots of things to construct before i can start using some paint. These are entirely scratchbuilt. There are the magazines to do the mounts and the firing equipment. There are also some more details to put on the cannon themselves but it was slow going with some experimentation to get the recoil spring fitted in between the tubes. So that cost me some time too. But this was entirely new and you can compare it to the Dragon gun from the other kit.

Thanks Noel but this is part of the fun and as long as things work out for me i am havign fun. This is another fun build. Time consuming but fun. the cockpit is too large and exposed and calls for all the detail possible.

Looking fantastic as usual Brian! Can't believe the detail you are getting in. Did you make your own springs?

Yep Brad, just some copper wire turned around the barrel plastic rod. Then cut to length. But they look good when the bun is all mounted up.
