    Hi David!

You asked for comments.... well depending on how far you want to go and what you would wish the end result to be.

If you are looking for award winning standards I can point out a few things to help you improve:
    1) First, research the tunic colours of the 101. I think they were some sort of Khaki colour. If you watch Band of Brothers you will have a field day !
    2) When painting figures try and vary the shade so they will not look all alike. For shoes I prefer to mix Black with a Reddish brown to get a leather looking colour.
    3) Maybe it's the picture....... but the terrain would look nicer if it is on the shades of browns. If you work with an airbrush, you might want to give different shade to the ground.
    4) Avoid using train type vegitation. There are a lot of realistic foliage on the market, namely TREEMENDUS. They will give a more realistic look to the diorama.
    5) In my opinion the vehicle needs more work. I can see two colours, Green and a dusty colour. First find the correct colour for the vehicle (Lifecolor do great authentic paints) and go through the process of pre-shading and weathering. (Is the dusty colour a White-Wash or dirt?
    6) Very notable are the wheels. The inner wheels and inside wheels need to be weathered as well.

Given 2 hours a day, a vehicle would need approx. whole week to be finished just from weathering. To complete a vehicle from A-Z you would probably need 2 months! If you finished before it means you took shortcuts and the end result would not look realistic.

    Practice makes perfect.............
The above points are from my point of view and are by no means a bench-mark.

    Best regards
    Noel

it looks like a whitewash right? What technique did you use? Hairspray?

I can't comment much on figures painting as I dont paint them (YET) but I think Noel gave you some good advice...Infact I think your AFV skills are superior to your figure skills so maybe you need to work more on that side of your modelling David...
