To continue with the wave of Hospitaller subject, this is the mini tandem between Ray and me, without Ray's help this model could not have made it to Girona 2008 ...

Another mini vignette in 54mm based on the pyramid style of composition, dedicated to the Siege of Malta and depicting the defenders of the Faith against the Ottoman onslaught, the Knights, the man at arms, the Tercio and the Maltese militia. Figures are all converted and heavily modified. Groundwork was scratchbuilt and tied up to create the sense of a breech in the walls ...

Thank you guys, this was one of the most dear projects and was happy that it was very well received ... though a little romaticized I had in mind the heroic strugle of teh defenders!

Regarding StElmo, that would be the day if this monumnet shall turn into a museum, many died there during 1565 and again in WW2 ... it is part of the local Valletta plan but God wills will have to see the outcome by 2015 when we shall celebrate the 450th Anniversary!
