    In progress.....1/32nd Junkers Ju88 A1

    Post  Proximo41 on Sun Apr 18, 2010 8:57 am

This is the progress so far with my new project, the Revell's 1/32nd scale Ju88 A1. apart from seat belts, not much is needed to be added. i also detailed the instrument pannel becase no dials were included in the kit. the fit is ok even though i had some problems in putting that very busy front office in the fusalage. (the instructions could be misleading sometimes because the diagrams are small). All in all im enjoying it.

I use photo etch seatbelts BUT in this case since I had 3 seats and all the cockpit is going to be enclosed in a closed canopy I decided to do them my self. I used aluminum foil (the lid of the Nescafe cans - nothing is wasted Smile ) for the seatbelts and for the buckles I used fine copper wire.

Regarding the instrument dials I searched in my left over decal box and used some old dials from other aircraft. I used the punch and die u cut them to the right size.

I have not checked it out myself but have heard of it from other modeling sites and they refer to it as something really worth visiting if you are building the model.

OK but maybe they have close up photos of the parts they are restoring and maybe some internal photos. no harm done by looking.
