    Gannet - 1/72 scale

    Post  J.Fenech on Tue Aug 11, 2009 8:27 pm

Fairey Gannet AS.1, revell 1/72 scale. Just some preshading and panel line wash, nothing else.
More Naval aircraft to follow in the future.

Simply because I dont have it in 1/48th scale. All three on one carrier deck would have been nice.

All model master enamels and coated overall with modelmaster gloss and matt lacquer. A lot of sanding with wet and dry (more wet) between coats and adquetly thinned down paint. Whatever they say about acrylics, I ain't going to shift away from enamels. The only acrylic I use is in the cockpit, eg - seat cushions, switches, etc....... over an enamel base coat.

I use model master gloss & semigloss laquer too. i never knew they had matt laquer too. i use dullcoat. So you spray gloss... then spray a very light coat matt? i dont really like acrylics too+ i have too many enamels to convert
