Need to make some raised detail

Post  clioguy on Fri Jun 18, 2010 9:47 pm

Currently building the F4F-4 wildcat. This aircraft had raised rivets in some areas of the fuselage and also raised rivets in the wing assemblies. How can I make realistic looking raised rivets?

    Thanks for the help.

Either a punch and dye set for round rivets (I can lend you one) or Archer transfer raised rivets which go on just like decals but are 'raised' (Obviously) and I can lend you some too...

Look at my posting in AFVs ection for the plastic rivets I added to the Centaur/Cromwell turrets as an example for punched out rivets...
Archer rivets are a little smaller....

grazzi Dottore, would really appreciate if you could lend me the punch and die set..... need to make quite a large amount of rivets, so wouldn't feel comfortable using your transfer rivets.

Let me know when it is more convenient for you to meet.

    Thanks again

PS dont worry about transfer rivets I have loads and loads...besides they are different than punch type so see the TYPE you require rather....
