    Thanks guys for the comments.

Re: pedlock. it is to stay as that was the way they locked the boxes, infact I omited the others and left just one, a little Magic sculpt or a blob of supergle will do the job.
Do you know what material was the padlocks of the period, I remember some old ones from the 50s my pops had, and they were similar yo the Yales ones, brass bottom and iron handle, do you think it's a safe bet?

@ Matthew. who told you it's painted, that is undercoat ...but you are right should have fixed on the fret Shocked Evil or Very Mad

@ Ray, tanks mate, regarding tank bottoms, most have some details like escape hatches, small aperatures for engine and oil etc etc, apart some have also extra added armour against mines, some old types have also the nightmare of tens of rivets like his one ... we told tanks are beasts ... the idea of flat tubs came from the old Tamiya's that were intended for play besides modelling!

Brilliant start Ivan, I would still put some pigments especially on the rear engine deck and fenders.

Curious to see in what setting you are going to put it Suspect

i would go for a dirty black for the padlock. I think that it would look better than a shiny brass. Otherwise a really matt brass with some dirt on it.

Padlock has been arranged, I guess I go for a cast iron one probably, would not like it as Brian rightly suggested to be a catch eye in that area but just an additional detail.
Regarding position, I have not placed any images as I am still fidling with the correct setup ...

Joint in the last week frenzy atmosphere ... here is the dusting effects on the BT, done by oils, very time consuming but at least controlable to get the desired effect of dusting, sorry lousy pics ...

agree with you 101% the oil washes\dusting are time consuming but the effect is stunning. worth every minute you spent on it . the end result is unacheivable with pigments i think. keep em rollin

No that photo is just an indication of the groundwork ... this time it's far more simple, just concentrated more on weathering vis a vie the overall ambience ... but there is gonna be a human element, an emotion that normally the Soviet propaganda forbid to show!
