    Our Share for Euro 2010

Post  William on Mon Jul 05, 2010 7:24 pm

Pegaso's 54mm Mongol Nobleman and Russian Nobleman, which according to Uncle Ray were designed to be a fighting pair, however there is a time frame discrepancy again according to Uncle Ray as he always stands to be corrected lol!

Anyway my brother Jeremy and me, decided to have a go at these two beautifully sculpted figures from Pegaso as our entries into Class 25 Juniors of the upcoming EuroMilitaire 2010.

After two helmeted figures each, in successive years 2008 and 2009, we are NOW facing two faces What a Face What a Face so it is an acid test for both of us, but as our motto says, "Where there is a Will & a Jer there is a Way"
    cheers

We both cleaned the figures during our Easter Holidays, contrary to what Uncle Ray accused me on the Spitfire thread.....yes he's getting old and grumbling a lot, but the truth is/was that he admitted he was getting jealous of the Spit Twisted Evil Evil or Very Mad

There will be no more modelling this week Sad as tomorrow is camping time with the Zurrieq Boy Scouts cheers

Uncle Ray please make sure you recharge your battries for next week as we'll both be very demanding after this absence Laughing

    This is Jeremy's figure

    This is mine

This is where we stand with our figures.

Eyes were so difficult, even when Uncle Ray laid in the right eye (the most awkward to reach when you are right handed) we both needed some retouching on the left eye respectively.

Flesh basic mix + two steps of highlights is where we stopped on the 3rd day.

This is the 3rd year we are holding Summer Modelling School at Nanna's Laughing

As I said last year and the year before, despite of having to control TWO at a time, and despite that "some" (MOST) of the time I really get on the verge of banging their heads together Evil or Very Mad (gettin OLD I know Sad ) THIS IS FUN ALL THE WAY, where we LAUGH "some" (MOST) of the time with our pranks (mine the most obviously) and I do feel like a kid once again, as in one instance I shout/scream and bang my head on the work bench, and in the same time we all burst into unctrollable laughter lol!

It is to be noted that we take considerable BREAKS.....fruit, drinks, stretching of our feet etc etc Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Now who said I am getting OLD cheers ???????

xcellent work both of you, what a lovely pair of figures you chose. They look magnificent. If i had to nit pick i think that the green material need some more highlights to set it off better. But i am only judging from the pics and these can be deceiving so i might be terribly wrong here. Good luck at the competition!!
