IS2 M - Different Snow Camo

This s an old project that ended as a shelf queen, planned for a dio that never materialised ... but was a good experiment for a different camo approach. This is the old DML Soviet [J.Stalin] IS2 M, at that time it was the only series around, now we have the new Tamiya with most of the errors corrected, ie. small wheels and low hull. The only extras are Eduard PE for the grills and fuel tanks and an armourscale barrel. tracks I used the kits which today I regret as Friul make a much better correct set ...

The camo represent an Ukranian unit that entering Prussia managed to engage and destroy a unit of King Tigers.

Paintwork in acrylics and the brush stroke camo were done with a flat paint brush starting with different tones to acheive contrast and weathering. Muds and weathering MIG pigments ...

And I still think that with a little tweeking it can be pushed to an even better level...Noone will know about the technical problems with the tank save the soviet armour buffs!

Thanks guys

You are making me think about this tank again and maybe give him a new life again ... infact temporary it is used as a guinea pig for certain techniques and weathering tests ... infact recently I re-updated the brush marks ...
