This is pobaly my as build ever. it has only been on the workbench for about two months and that for me is an absolute record. This is what to me is an out of box build. I only put in the necessary stuff and work to make it accurate and up to standard but no panels upened and nothing revealed. So to me it is the bare minimum one should do to a model. It is also my last 109.......maybe. I did not find and G so this is the Hasegawa G14. Atermarket stuff includes, resin air intake, resin spinner, resin wheels (thanks to Marco), photoetched canopy and wheel bay detail and also the seat belts. all other stuff is scratch built or modified from the kit. here goes.
It is not any detailing, just the areas that show. I did not specify out of which box all the stuff came from anyway. Ivan, i have not heard from Alex for quite some time but accoring to their website, he is busy with an expo and in fact has stopped putting up updates.
Hi Mathew, thanks for the comments. It is not half as nice as your work on those guns. The wheel well detail was also photoetched and it fitted without any problem like a glove.
Thanks Joseph, i cannot finish it yet since i have a problem with the markings, something which i hope that Marco can help me solve, well if he cannot, who the hell can...???
Have not even started weathering except the weathering that comes with the paintwork, and yes, i shall have to work on a pilot figure to add to the base. It shall have to be a modified figure, i hate using the same figure over again.
Brian awesome and masterful work as usual but I cannot forgive you for not pointing this beauty to me while STILL at the club last Wed ta
I arrived a bit hastily I know and I went directly on the 1/2 Pizza and 1/2 Chicken Wrap Combo ATTACK, but I would have adorned my modelling specs and POSTPONED the food to ADMIRE this GEM
Again my BIGGEST APPLAUSE is not for the Aircraft per se as you know that any superlatives do not suffice, but for your sheer grit and determination of embarking on a figure painting venture a few years ago, SO EVENTUALLY YOU COULD ADORN YOUR MASTERPIECES with the BRAVE MEN WHO FLEW THEM!!!!!!!
A real pity that you can't make it to Catania as I would proudly fight in battle next to you my SSM BROTHER!!!!!!!
Thanks for the great comments. I am sorry but something happened and i cannot upload the rest of the pics. there are some pics of the underside and also of the other side of the plane. The figure is a pathetic attempt and it is made from parts of 4 figures. The torso and legs up to the knees are from a resin pilot figure. The boots are from another. the arm holding the cigarette is from a plastic 35th scale figure and so is the head. The head was very crude and it was a real pain to try to get some decent features.
I love the subtle weathering and also the figure came great, so just to clear a point as on the Christmas project by the Duo has araisen, allura you just know what the crew and mechanics of teh Luftwaffe wore ... how come you just do planes? As that was the reasoning down there buy the lad who is intoxicated with Shermaholic material
Bravo again, this is again shows how great a combination of a figure goes with our machines ... it gives life!
