    Hi guys,
Things in Greece, are very bad. We live under a new financial war occupation. I do apologize for my long absence, but there is no time left at all for my usual web activities as I have used to. I hope you understand. Anyway....

Here is one of my latest builds..Something quick and easy. First, I removed all the panels, from the Kit. Easy job, very fat plastic. I had to re-create all of them in order of realism in the 1/72 scale.

Then I made some detailing into the main cabin and the cockpit. I used Eduard's zoom set, mostly to earn some time on the instrument panels, seatbelts and side walls.

and here all the additional panel that will be placed on the power plant.

I decided to paint the 4011 tiger scheme of a Czech Hind D. I used my own masks.

Stunning as always mate, and in such a small scale!

Hope things get better there soon.

Alex glad to see you back in action! Hope things get better again neither here is a paradise but at least models are a therapy for apathy!

I am no plane nut but to be honest just bought over the net a Hobbyboss Hind D, this to me it's a tank that flies so have an excuse to built one! Have to say your model is a masterpiece all that detail and subtle weathering making it stand out over that scheme! Bravo.

PS. Can you help me out what colour did you use for the interiors, I know ruskies like strange greens and pale blues ... but no idea the nearest hues ...

Keep them coming my friend ...

Alex it is fantastic to see you on the forum again. And what a magnificent model to be presented!! You are still the man, still setting standards i see, the detail is breathtaking especially in that small scale. I see you still have your eyes functioning properly not like mine, they are gone and i cannot see anything without my glasses. Thanks for sharing this wonderful masterpiece it is brilliant in all respects, the build, the extravagant amount of detail you put in and also the fantastic paint job, one of a kind.

Thank All my dear friends. I really appreciate it.

That build was a little injection for me. Nothing serius...but i really enjoy it.

Ivan. The Czech Hind's interiors (especially the "E" ver) are painted with bluish grey colors. Personally I made my own shades by mixing various of bluish greys. (the cockpit is not included)
If you are going to paint an authentic red star machine, you should better work with AKAN colours. (100% representation) You need set 47303 (exterior classic camo schemes) and for the undersides AKAN 73049
For the cockpit you can easily make the emerald green by mixing Gunze H-25 and H-46 (50%-50%), or AKAN73006
For the other interior colors the best color that matches to the most old Russian Hinds is the RLM 65 (yes!)
Be carefull. The Ruskie interior colors are very very strong. You are not going to meet....chipping compared to their heavy duties. You should better fade them and dust them.

The above come from my personal research. That does not mean that are 100% accuarate.

I have already started a USSR Mig 21 SM (the Old classic Mig in 70s) in 1/48. I'm on the beginning now. Nothing important for the moment. I will make a post later. The Mig 21 is my favourite jet.

    Thanks Alex

I am not a guy that 'obey' all the standard colours correctly and like to follow up hues instead, I feel that by time colour change, productivity might not always be the same and there also might be human intervension. My Hind is planned to be a Libyan one, which already few years ago was repainted before the uprising to be part of an airshow and commemoracion of teh 40 years of dictatorship ... Thank you for suggesion that russian interiors were coated well, infact scrutinizing the images I have of teh actual bird the only scratched areas are the outside which were locally repainted by the new owner ... cheers buddy and keep the ruskies coming, I love the 21s as well, will you do it all metal?

    No...
If you mean the camo, I will paint it with the classic 5 color camouflage scheme, faded a lot. I do not intent to make any "magic"... I'm full of aftermarket set that come from reviews on Helmo, and I want to finish it in 3 months. I just wanna have a Mig 21 in my showcase. Nothing more.

I'm working (studding actually) the Hampden and there I'm going to pay all my attention as i did on Whitley.

    Thank U Ray.

To be honest with U, this my first attempt on that small scale. I used to build 1/72 Matchbox Kits when I was very very young, without painting work on them... I do not know if it looks good or not. I'm going to build a Blackburn Buccaneer in the same scale later. I love this ugly bird...
