God Willing I will complete my 25years of service in the Malta Police Corps this coming July 6th cheers

My last working day, again God Willing, will be April 6th, before starting a 3month termination leave till July 6th, courtesy of you all taxpayers Laughing

Anyway, I've decided to donate a figure each to my shift colleagues, which is comprised of three other males and a female colleague plus another figure to the WPC who manages our office. The deadline is obviously the 6th of April for all 5 figures so it MUST be a marathon pale

It will serve a dual purpose.....first & foremost the donation which I COMMITTED myself to do, to give something to a group of people who were an integral part of my life for the last years, something, which as we all know cannot be bought off any ordinary shop shelve Laughing

Secondly, I will sharpen my painting skills which have gone as blunt as a rusty beam pale

So from my grey army I managed to pull these three gems for the boys Laughing

    Roman Centurian 90mm Young Miniatures

    Greek Hoplite 54mm Pegasus

    Viking 54mm Pegasus

The Greek will be featured as a Spartan Laughing while the Viking will be featured as a Saxon, to reach my mates' wishes Twisted Evil

The girls' figures will arrive on Monday I presume since Matt Grech of El Greco posted two Draconia Shazirah figures last Thursday, which I ordered in December but of which he had only one, so had to wait for the new stock to arrive Evil or Very Mad

I would like a 90mm Templar Knight mounted please.

I'll be there on the 6th April..... thanks for a lovely thought

Brilliant thought Ray. I envy the guy (or girl) who is getting that Roman Centurion, it is really lovely and i still have a soft spot for Roman figures. That is awesome, i wish i qualified for one too. Does it apply if you did carry out works at your GHQ!! I am also involved in the new police station at Valletta and also the new Police Academy complex at Ta' Kandia......a 32nd scale pilot figure maybe...!!

Lucky mates, it's usually the other way around, gifts are given to the person leaving. Great choice of figures and good to see you back modelling cheers

Ray, that is a very nice gesture from your part. And the choice of figures is great. It would have been nice for me to do something like that too but as you know( and unlike you) my service years were not spent in one place only. Obviously you all know the reason for that SmileSmileSmileSmileSmile. If I had to do a figure to all my mates which I worked with it would have taken me an entire life !!!!! But I should have done a figure to just one person. He still lives very close to the station SmileSmileSmileSmileSmile.

Marco, you need to build a plane first to need a pilot to go with it. If you do build a plane i will paint the pilot for your myself, nowhere near Ray's painting but passabbli!! Is that a good incentive for you to start, or continue a build, at least out of the box.

    Steve,

despite having worked for more than 23 consecutive years at the Airport (well, tourists deserved to have a glimpse of a "real" cop before entering the Island & since you got transferred so early on Laughing ) it would STILL have been impossible to donate a figure each to ALL the personell I worked with along these years pale (I also worked at the mobile squad & Paola Police Station prior to Dec 1987 from July 1986) so yours was/is a FEEBLE excuse for not doing it Evil or Very Mad Laughing

Have donated two figures before, one to Frida who used to work at the office and one to my current Inspector I love you

Still, I must donate a couple more (after these are ready but) to an ex shift mate and the best seargent I've ever had & one of the finest of the old breed which unfortunetly is extinct now Sad

Marco, you are in my thoughts don't worry since I committed myself to paint a figure for you when we spoke quite a while ago , plane or no plane Twisted Evil
