WWII German Officer in snow :)

Post  Ray on Tue Aug 18, 2009 9:49 pm

This is the 2nd ever figure painted by yours truly in 1995 and together with the Amati 120mm Conquistador (which I'll post after this) won a Commended at the 1995 IPMS in Telford.

A Verlinden 120mm (one of the early and still one of the best to date by Verlinden and if I'm not mistaken was sculpted by Julian Hullis) painted entirely in Oils........sorry about the poor pics but they were taken at Club by Ray Borg (thanks so much Ray) if memory serves me well and he (the Figure) resides pemanentley at the Club's showcase Twisted Evil

    Not bad Ray.

What is missing is some weathering. He looks like he came out of the dry cleaning!

I think if the snow is deep, he wouldn't need much more weathering anyway?, just
my thought. I do like the shading you used in the folds, was this by paint or pastels?
