    Malta Police Sergeant :)

Post  Ray on Mon Apr 11, 2011 5:46 pm

Keeping a 15yr old PROMISE Embarassed to the Best Sergeant I've ever had in my 25yrs as a boy in blue Mad I've embarked on this project pale

Making a Malta Police Sergeant from this Verlinden offering pale

It was sent to me by a great American buddy/brother Joe Hudson with an extra head sans eye patch pirat & I thought it was more appropriate to perform SURGERY on this one then on the General der Fliegel presenting a medal as I would paint that as it is later on I love you

So, here is where I am with the SURGERY pale

Until the next installment, happy modelling guys n gals Suspect

I'm saving that one so I'll depict him as he is.....I mentioned this in the text but you don't pay attention in class Mad study

Yes it is JF & the caption will read "hands, out of pockets!" a phrase this Sarge used to point out a lot to one of my senior mates in the same shift Shocked

As I said, it has been too long in the making & during my recent spree of painting the 5 figures for my "current mates" I pinched myself to "remember this OVERDUE promise" to one of best of the "Old Guard" pale

Some more progress on this dude Laughing

Instead of trying to eat my way around the resin pants (as I tried to do in the begining) I opted for the legs wire armeture, after pulling the boots out of the resin pants as you can see Sad
Legs are just roughly "fleshed up" with MS to strenghten & solidify the armeture for things to come.....the pants Razz

Also reworked the cap & badge which is a bit on the big size Sad & which I plan to address soon (won't live with the guilt feeling eh) & the chin strap also done & ready Twisted Evil

Hair & moustache also in place where I fleshed the cheeks just a bit before, for a more "Maltese" look Cool

Arms are also repositioned, where I used the lower part on the right arm while I reworked the upper part. The left arm was reworked completely on the usual wire armeture while using a hand from my spares box pirat

Boots awaiting the laces are also upgraded accordingly Rolling Eyes

Happy modelling guys n gals until the next installment cheers

Cool ... you should continue on a very good model and prepare it for civilian scratch for Euro mate ...

He really remind me of those typical 80s mustaccuni sergeant long lost ... as the song by our local kantawtur Trikkas used to say parodija ta Sairway to Heaven about CIDs and the Corp, 'Bil-Mustacci twal, twal, qieshom Leli l-Furnar ...'

    Cool figure!

Contemplated the thought re Civilian Class @ Euro mate, at the very early stages Twisted Evil

But that means putting in 101% at this time of the year when I have so much on the production line Sad

Well, will see how it turns out & act from then onwards anyway, as it might be "the unexpected rule" after all Cool

No comments about that!! Twisted Evil

It is coming along nice, but just starting to wonder why you needed the resin figure in the first place Wink since there is a lot of scratch building involved.

JF thanks for looking & your kind words I love you

Yes I needed a BASE to work from like the capped head, jacketed torso & booted legs Twisted Evil

I would have taken till eternity & would still not be able to sculpt the above mentioned items for sure Sad

The scratch building required, is quite straight forward & not as complex as the items mentioned above pale

Some minor alterations to my "hastey/pre meditated short cuts" updates Sad

Well, contemplating on Ivan's instigation & my premature thoughts re this piece I am giving him my 101% & enter him in the Scratch/Conversion Civilian Class this coming Euro if God Wills It Twisted Evil

So, I tackled the cap's badge without any further ado, as I said it was way too big & TOO SHORT CUT Sad

It is still a tad bigger (1.4mm over, give or take) but, I'm pleased with the outcome as after I diminished the existing Maltese Cross that I sculpted earlier on, I managed to cut the circular belt from 2thou plastic sheet + the Maltese Flag sheild within pale

The ribbon beneath was fabricated from Duro & any "detail" will be added later on with paint simulation (I HOPE lol! )

Ok, that is enough blabbering....now enjoy some lousy pics Cool

Hey you wounded Don Luigi Nannu Pec, after that gun fight at the OK Coral lol! ah no no that was your ancestor in the Wild West sowwy Embarassed it was in the mountains & narrow streets of Bagaria in Palermo last week mikkinu lol!

Yes of course you know him as he was there during your reign as the king of AirMalta queen

He was not very nice towards you as you kept "stealing" me from my ANTI TERRORIST DUTIES & leading me to a wasteful life of coffees, modelling & all the DIRTY REST cat , so I don't blame him at all because if I was in his place I would have hung you & me by the kooks at the departures lol!

But, he was one heck of a gentleman + a true Policeman.....he was lucky as he served during YesterYear, when everyone had an IDENTITY.......now it has become TOO BLATANTLY POISONOUS as the TOXIC WASTE has reached our doorsteps Sad
