Been working on this for a while - but with Ivan's comment re. decals on my MiG 23 build I thought I'd show another project with home-made decals.
This is the old 1:32 Hasegawa Peashooter in more unusual colours:
Primed - and decals printed:
Silver 'undercoat':
Light grey on - clear glossed - must be almost ready for my favourite stage - decals and weathering!
And main decals on - just wing root walkways to add.
I think this scheme suits the Peashooter - whaddya think?
Chipped through to silver undercoat around areas of wear...
Added oil paint 'wash' (more like thick sludge as it's applied straight from the tube before rubbing off with lots of fresh sheets of kitchen paper):
Bit more done - weathering + matt varnish. Exhuasts added to engine (yet to be painted) and engine attached to airframe. Few other bits and bobs added. Spats and cowl ring loosely placed for now...
Rigging and final details still to be added.
That's all for now folks - have fun!
Iain
