Post  Noel Petroni Fri Oct 25, 2013 3:44 pm

Hi all.... I was inspired by Ray's plane and gravity figure and went out and bought a Revell WWI plane!
Yeeeepee! It's a horrible kit but I really feel like building one.  No fuss ... just out of the box sort of thing and a decent paint job to follow!

Marco, I may not build planes but my experiance in model building is always there to help me tackle subjects that are not common to me. Very Happy

As Ray said........ do you have doubts about my skills............ in that case shall I challange you to an out-of -the-box ME109 1/48 kit!

I chose the kit... you choose the time and start date commencing this week! bounce

Ejja... no wiring, no photo etch... just plane (a pun!!) old straight forward build! How about that! Members will judge the result!

Deal or no deal! Very Happy

Noel I apologise for the intrusion on thread, I am sure that you are more than capable for finishing this model and if you finish it as you finish the afvs, I sure it will be a little gem.

Ejja Marco, that is a fair challenge, just one 109 OOB and let's see you do that. Its a start, i bet that if you do that you will build more. You just need a kick start. Actually what you need is to have your computer out of order for a week and at the same time be sick at home, just as i am at the moment. Unfortunately i am quite sick and will probably miss the last two meetings before you go to Telford. The only positive thing is that i now finally have time for modeling.

    Marco........ it's a fair deal...ta

anzi... I think it's a good idea... it should not take us a lot of time ..... look..

-The Revell or Italeri ME109 1/48
    -Out-of-the-box
-we are not looking for accuracy
    -no add on's
    -use kit decals

...take it as a sort of experiment..... it will be interesting to see the final result. An AFV builder vs a rusty, very rusty master airecraft builder.....

    come on....bounce

Hallik mill get well soon Marco, that is not the point, just start on the 109 and take up the challenge. It will also be good for you to start on something relaxed before you get into a serious build. Don;t you EVER intend to build any of the hundreds of models you have?!!

OK... I finished it. It was fun..... We're doing up the boy's bedroom and I'm going to hang some plans for them! The build is no big deal, I don't really care for any finish in particular.
