Today I met Stephen Petroni, and he just gave me the greatest news ever.

  HE IS ARRANGING THE PURCHASE OF THREE WW2 SUBMARINES:-  

A TYPE V11C
A TYPE IIB
AND ANOTHER COSTAL SUB.

WOW CAN YOU JUST IMAGINE THREE REAL GERMAN SUBS IN MALTA.

Stephen Petroni is organizing a museum here in Malta, and has already acquired the below:-

an 88mm flak, complete with carriage.
a Pak 36
a Pak 37
a 20mm oerlikon.
a twin 37mm anti-aircraft gun complete with naval mounting - probable from the Tirpitz.
a kubel wagen
a swim wagen
a kettenkraftkrad
a BMW motorbike.
a Zundap motorbike.
a 150cm searchlight with mounting
a bridge crossing barge with full timber accessories and planking.
and loads of small arms.

finally we are moving towards a professional museum.

He is the one involved in searching for these gems but he is not the owner of these, heard of some local padron who instead of collecting models like to collect the real things ... also include a Bren carrier already here aswell ... the display area is in the making.

Ivan, some of the things are not his - yes I fully agree. But some of the items purchased are his property. Yesterday, I was at his retail outlet, and saw the PAK36 - a beautiful gem.

the museum is at Hal Far, if I am not mistaken. A factory area.

Anyway, eventually I do not care who the real owner is, I will probable spend days running around inside the type VIIc U-boat.

Finally, we will have the museum we always wished for, with some real research material available on our hands.

           

This is excellent news i will contact him and maybe get a glimpse of this stuff. Why don;t we try to organize a club outing to see them if he wants.

He has already invited me over to see the stuff they already have.

if any members are interested, I can arrange a visit, but it would probably be on a Sunday morning, as during the week, he has to man the gun shop.

I know for sure that he will be delighted to show us as a group around to view the relics.
