    CHINESE TYPE 92 1FV

Post  alexbb on Mon May 31, 2010 9:27 pm

this is a quick one. the model is the modern chinese type 92 ifv from hobby boss not a bad kit. it is built with minor modifications and with the voyager detail set added. the rubber wheels where weighted and new ones will be cast in resin

the assembly was straightforward with little or no filling required, i did not use all the voyager pe parts because some of the kit parts are just as good if not superior to the voyager p.e. i ony had to scratch the trim vane erector which on the kit is hopeless and inexistant in the p.e. set.

the model was then given a coat of black plasticote primer sprey straight from the can.

next check the model for any faults and start layering paint.being a modern vehicle not the usual weathering on this one just some filters dusting and rain streaks

less than 10 hours work in total so far
