Those were the days, I still remember the Phantom flying below the Valletta Bastions and take a vertical lift with St Luke's Hospital, those Luftwaffe were mad man. If not mistaken they were grounded on Saturday due to a crash in Germany and they gave an unforgettable show on Sunday ... if the Airshow will get back to Grandharbour would have been a unique show ...

For me it is a uneeque show in Malta ..The Phantom flying steel with all it's glory... and the Maltese famous forthification wall Brillant ....

I was duty at St.Lukes on that day, and by pure coincidence got an urgent call from the hospital's plantroom on the roof
I had to go on the roof and check ux

Yes it was a brilliant show but the airshow must remain to where it belongs the Airport!. Landing and takeoff is part of the show!

So many events from 21st March of that year, thru this Memorable Airshow on the day of Harold's wedding (kont ga ggilidt 70 darba kuljum jien
) and all the way to Telford 1993 SSM's debut on the International Scale Modelling Competitions (on Mario's initiative) so a MEMORABLE YEAR BY ALL MEANS Ray

The Brave crew..... they were the first US Army Air Force heavy bomber B-17 crew to complete the 25 missions tour in Europe, in 1943.WWII....

That was the show of shows.......I was in Manoel Island and was mesmerized with that beautiful bird ....Th Phantom......flying over Marsamxetto harbour skimming the sea .....and the sonic boom...well that was it...AWESOME....AWESOME

Will remain the best airshow in Malta, the show of shows, hail those who managed to screw it out ... if it wasn't for those qerrieda probably airshow would still be so dramatic ...
