    9 months ...20 models OOB! (1/48)

Post  Alex Kontiveis on Tue Jan 19, 2010 10:16 am

    Hellow...

I managed to get off my stock (the Half of it) in 9 months by building 20 Kits in 1/48 scale. All of them are Out of the box mostly. No improvements took place (except the seat belts, antennas etc)

I hope you like them.. Here we go then...

That is a production line, prosit Alex!

Just a query what are those things hanging on the Me262 tail? Was that a trial model?

    Hi Ivan,

That's the V-056. A test fighter (not exactly because the particular plane shoot down lot's of mossies!!! during its tests!!) The purpose of the woollen stripes was to test the aerodynamic behaviour of the single seater Me-262 with the presence of the FUG antennas during battle. More than 300 of this stripes were hanged on...A nightmare for me!!!

Infact that what I was thinking, I knew Alex was crazy but gluing all those strips makes me wonder ... you torture yourself for modelling, were those Photoetch?

Well done Alex, they are all nice and well executed, keep posting.

Just managed to finish 11 models during 2009, still in low gear, and started at least another 15 or so models. Maybe i will finish a couple more, got about another 5 very advanced state. Just a heads up, this year i will debut in a new section for me, but that will be another story.

RAY: TNX mate, As i told you before, all these are 24 hours builds! There are more coming next (as soon as finish my lanc)I will keep a couple for advanced work, and all the others will be speed builds!

    J.Fenech:
TNX Jo, I appreciate it. I think that's the only way to finish our stock...during THIS life!!! I dont know what will happen after my death..!!! Sleep

    AdriaN:
TNX Adrian, That's why I bought them...To make a long range of camo schemes. I always regret of my choice as soon as i paint a model!!! I say..Oh shit, why didn't i paint it by this marking?

Brian: Oh...you are talking about the nightfighter...and the snakes!!! I don't want to remember the day i painted it!!! My hand was shaking like compressor!!! lol! It was very difficult for me to work on a surface of 14 cm...I'm not very pleased...but i did my best. TNX mate!

LUKE: You will have to wait long enough!!! Its endless mate! TNX anyway, I will not disappoint U my Habib!

ALEX: TNX mate...Impressive Yes...not excellent. Poor in detail, poor in perfection. Just a good painting job. Most of them were tests for some techniques.

Very attractive line-up Alex Cool !!! And I like your idea of spending less time on detail and more on painting. Will follow your example and hopefully get some more models finished bounce.

    TANCRED:
There is no any sense to collect hundreds of boxes that we will never build them into this life...Believe me, seem less attractive and beautiful in the same way a detailed one...behind the Glass. Everybody pay attention to the outcome result than the small micro switch on instrument panel in the cockpit ...

Try it and you will see, your shelves ..empty very soon!!!
