    The Ringmaster and the Acrobat

Post  Guest on Fri Aug 27, 2010 11:17 pm

    Hi Guys

Its been a while, but here is a little thing I hope to have finished for Euro, Its called The Ringmaster and the Acrobat. A little scene of Richthofen and Voss in front of a hack aircraft they used to fly them around if they felt like it, one of only three prototypes of the Albatros CIX (this is scratch built from photographs from Jim Miller) . As you can see I am painting it in Black and white, as a challenge for myself to see if I can do it, I still have loads to do, I also want to add a little twist to the mix at a later date......

Let me know what you think

    Dave

Aces High! Probably the best daredevils of all time!

Love it Dave, it really capture the atmosphere of the period ... try to include a bit of sepia in the monotone mix will capture the effect of photographic developing of teh period more ...

    Is it 1/48 or 1/32?

PS. Try to have it ready buddy!

Dave I love this. I really like to see this in person. I'm sure it's gonna revive an idea I had some time ago.
