    Hi all,
this is the response i sent to Alex, (Thanks Alex,Thanks for the welcome!) back in July,
and as it's just been 'bounced' back as of 12th October! thought i'd post here as well as the P.M. AND e-mail i sent to Alex directly.

Will get around to writing an intro, just 'to many jobs, too little time'!!
You know, the 'modellers curse', or excuse!! Sad

Also, being a 'Brit' i struggle with Maltese, all going great, in English,
then someone switches language and that's me shot!! scratch

My limit is 'Merhba' (Welcome?), Sahha, (Goodbye?) and Nannu (Granddad?) and
sorry if i've spelled any wrong, or mis-interpreted any. study

The site is great, the modelling is terrific, and is anybody coming over to
the nationals this November? If so, i'm taking up knitting!

BUT, can someone bring a 'spare' SSM polo shirt over for me, size XL! Oh,
and a case of Cisk, case of the local wine................! drunken

Reading the 'thread' on Euromilitare i totally agree, Who'd be a judge? OR,
teach me to swear in Maltese!! Twisted Evil

Went down to the R.A.F. Museum last year, had a club member enter some
superbly painted figures, what did he get? NOTHING,

not even placed, he recently finished one NEW figure, for the manufacturer,
to be used as the box art, so his standard is 'reasonable'!

Bit about me, been a member of I.P.M.S. on and off for years, first nationals i attended were at Stoneleigh in Warwickshire back in '80. Moved 'up country' and joined my first club, I.P.M.S. Cleveland in '04.

Since then, have attended all of the nationals, Oopps, S.M.W. (not QUITE as
old as 'Il nannu pec', just GETTING there!) affraid

visited Malta for the first time in '08, stayed in Mellieha, liked it so
much returned this year on honeymoon, week in Valletta, then a week on Gozo, and we want to MOVE!!! sunny

Well that's it for know, see you on the forums, and hopefully at SMW in Telford.
    P.S. bring SUNSHINE!!

    Sahha,

    Paul (Pawl)

    Welcome aboard, Paul! Very Happy

So you know three words in Maltese.... that's great! If you stick around this forum you will start adding more words to your Maltese vocabulary....... because as you rightly pointed out we do have a habit to switch to a few Maltese words!Rolling Eyes

    Hope to see you often

Must study MORE!! scratch I mean, i can't even spell me own name right!

Ray, i'll try not to be, this is only the 4th go i've had to reply!
Mmm, why DOES life get in the way of hobbies?

In Nannu Pec, sorry you won't be at the nationals, is ANYONE coming over?
Will say this though, you MAY be the oldest, but ONLY just! lol!

Hi Adrian, thats me! Did that Panther ever get finished? The build thread just stopped, and did you ever get the compressor to work, or is it STILL on strike?!! Twisted Evil

O.K. Guys, i give up what does "habib" mean? My guess would be "friend"?
Bet no one ever thought you'd be giving Maltese lessons! scratch

    Best regards,

Wrong my friend Friend in arabic is SAHBI, SADIQI or RAFIQI ... HABIB [without ie] in arabic means Darling ... habieb with the 'IE' is a pure sametic Maltese word and means FRIEND!
Another word that comes from arabic is SIEHBI, and used localy aswell! Complex language Maltese is!
