Might we have complained, cursed at the drivers but it is a pity we are loosing one of the icons that made us Malta, especially the locally converted Dodge, Leylands and Bedfords vintage buses with that Mediterranean flare in design, colour and typography on them [tberfil] that for decades have serviced the country ... now we shall start admiring that vomit green coloured new coaches ruled by a capitalist foreigner .... so what's next ...

Unlike other cities like London with their taxis and double deckers, New York with their fire engines we are loosing our identity ...

Our identity is long gone, we are just picking at the remains. At least the English had the idea to retain the shape of their taxis and buses and just update them to modern specs but no, we throw everything out the window. The only identity left now is dust, stone, concrete and of course the ever present tower cranes which even invaded Valletta now.
