    https://www.facebook.com/pages/3D-Printing-and-Rapid-Prototyping-Services/214963141920963

the printing medium is paper which prints at a cheaper cost. i am waiting for some scale wheels and will let you know. in the meantime let me share with you another scale wheel printed in another medium.

This is great, do they take only ACAD/3D Max files or you can send them 2D vector files?

You are evolving another new dimension to our club, hi-tech sophisticated equipmenet products ... prosit!

2D laser cutting is quite common in Malta. Cuts can be done in any type of material though the vector files have to be exported to another type of file which should be recognized from the machine system.

Yep aware about and used the 2D system just enquiring if for 3D software if you give them vector 2 D they are able to make a 3D version out of it ... sintendi not complex but basic 3D format ...

it has to be always a solid object and not just a surface otherwise it will not work. Then each 3d file has to be exported to .stl file type.

Meaning has to be worked in a good 3D software mela ... time to get used to 3D Max it seems : )

depends on how you perceive 2D and 3D dimensions. Figures are always 3d objects. On the other hand a cuboid still is a 2D object.

i want to do something special and original to my 458 italia. After having a look at the last design contest organised by Ferrari, I designed a new set of wheels for the 458 italia.

    This is the design concept:

    the real design:

    the final product:

later on this week i will send you more pics as soon as i receive the wheels.

Brilliant the resin looks very delicate aswell ... not like some 3D prints I saw which look brittle and rough ...
