Thank you for allowing me to join your illustrious group. My name is Billy Robertson from Laurieston near Falkirk in central Scotland. I am 50 years old and just restarted modelling after a gap of 20 years. My main area of interest was 1/72 military aviation between the thirties and seventies but currently I am concentrating on World War 2 fighters to rebuild my skillbase. I am visiting malta again later this month and would appreciate info on any recommended model shops on the island as Malta and the Aviation Museum at Ta Qali are what rekindled my interest. I hope to post some pics once the rustiness has gone and will be revisiting both this site and your wonderful island as often as I can.

Re: Greetings from Scotland
Welcome to our group and to the site. As far as model shops go, there are not many here and there will probably not be anything you cannot find there in scotland but we will direct you there anyway. As far as the aviation museum is concerned, this is a must see. It is located at the old historical airfield of Ta' Qali although not much of it remains to remind you that this was one of the most important sites in WWII. If you give us details of your holiday we can meet. You are also welcome to visit our club meeting if you happen to be here on a Wednesday, that is the weekly meeting day.
Cheers and hoping to see you soon. Please give us a glimpse of your work, everybody looks forward to that.

Re: Greetings from Scotland
Thank you both for your replies. It may be a Month or so before I have anything completed to take photos of as what modelling I can get done is being fitted in between shifts and family commitments, but when I have something I will let you have a look. It won't necessarily be to the high standards I have seen here but I hope will be acceptable. I will be visiting malta between 14 and 21 September and will certainly visit your Wednesday meeting if time permits. As far as model shops are concerned, my nearest involve a 40 mile round trip or more so I don't get the chance to look around much. I'm the same with buying music, I prefer to browse in a record shop to buying online if I can. Anyway, thank you again for your time, and I hope to see you a week from Wednesday.
