currently back in malta after a 33 year ansence. I lived here as a teenager with my parents. my father closed the Bfbs studios in Floriana and handed the keys over on 31 March 1979. Although i had to concentrate most of my efforts on O'levels in those days i still had time to frequent britannia stores in valetta and climb the spiral staircase to the model section. we are staying on Gozo but im planning to visit khobbies and the model shop during my stay here.

Ivan
ivan,
no, actually its in connection with the NATO Tiger Association that hosts the annual Tiger Meet.......thats the event that attracts all those specially painted tiger-themed aircraft. Although I am not Norwegian, I live in Norway and have an affiliation to 338 Skv (Squadron) which is the 'local' Tiger Squadron hence my 'callsign'. Looking forward to making some contributions to your website if i can in the future.

Thanks for the welcome
Thanks for the welcome everyone and I look forward to keeping in touch.....sorry I couldn't make the club meeting this evening but we had a pre-arranged visit to the stables today (my daughter is horse mad). We are having a great time on Gozo but did manage to get over to Malta twice this week. I found our old house in Rabat, which me moved out of in 1979 and I also managed to find my fathers old workplace at St Francis Ravelin in Floriana......as many of you will know its now the home of the Maltese Emergency Planning Agency but way back when it was BFBS Malta.......I used to walk through Floriana (past the Royal Bazaar which is still there) to Britannia Stores on a regular basis....hope to get over to visit the Aviation museum later this week and to maybe get in a short visit to Khobbies and the model shop....sadly we return to Norway on Tuesday next week.....maybe I can squeeze in a visit to the club next time. in the meantime, I'll try and show some of my work on the forum and keep in touch. I would have liked to meet up with some of you at Telford too but sadly work commitments will not allow me to visit this year....first time I will not be there since 2005......it's just one of those years I would rather forget from a modeling perspective....
Cheers and thanks again for the support and welcome

Left today
We left Malta with heavy hearts this morning after a great two week holiday......I didn't get to do half of what I had planned so it gives me a great excuse to return and to hopefully visit you in the club one Wednesday evening. In the meantime, good luck to those of you venturing to Telford for this years show and I hope to see you next year.
