Re: He 162 Salamander 1/32
OK... trust me to leave something like the nameplate till the end.
As some of you saw last week at the club, my 'prototype' nameplate reads:
Using a fancy font for "Spatz".
However, I would like an opinion on this... Is it OK or should I just stick with the make and model of the a/c ? Any other creative ideas out there?

Fine as designed, maybe if you have the name of the pilot list it as well, just to give the model a personalized touch.

Re: He 162 Salamander 1/32
Pilot was Hauptmann Helmut Kunnecke, one of the squadron commanders of I./JG1. The other was Rudolf Schmitt who claimed the only (albeit unconfirmed) kill in a 162, flying White 1.

I agree with Joseph and always put down the pilot's name together with the other info.

Re: He 162 Salamander 1/32
This will be my last post on the 162 which made itself to Scale Model World 2013.
The journey was long and bumpy, and here's the condition the 'Sparrow' was in when we arrived at the hotel:
The damage was caused by an idiot that was not watching where he was going at Manchester airport, hitting the box with his foot
At least it hurt him as much as it hurt the model.
But, thanks to the help of Joseph and Oliver, the model eventually made it onto the competition table
