Yeah, they definitely needed more air cover!
This movie kept calling the tanks Grants, but they were actually Lees. Basically the same tank on the outside except the Grant had a different turret. The Lee was American and the Grant was British. The Lee is one of my favorite tanks. I was really happy to see them in action in color, it was interesting just how dark the olive drab was and just laying on the dust looked like a relatively simple weathering job.
