Part of my collection, two NASCAR racers which I really enjoyed building. I went for full details, and found a great deal of help from friend on the other side of the Atlantic, where the popularity of NASCAR races by far eclipse Formula 1, with average race attendance being next to 100,000.
The first model is the no. 10, 2006 Dodge Charger, driven by Scott Riggs. This car depicts the popular 'Cars movie' characters as sponsors, the race being at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, North Carolina. It is customary for these racers to sport various one off sponsorship livery throughout the course of the season. This kit jumped the queue as Cars The move has for a long time been Owen's favourite.
The kit is a modified Dodge Intrepid R/T by Revell, 1/24 scale, decals by JWTBM. For those interested a complete WIP post can be accessed from this link, which is an American forum dedicated to NASCAR:

On to the second one, and here no offence is intended to anyone.
This is a Mark Martin Ford Taurus from the 2003 season, once again full detail, the basis being AMT 1/25 Ford Taurus Kit, decals by SLIXX. This actually is the first NASCAR kit I built.
