A good friend.......Ray Borg.

Today is another sad day in our club's history, with the passing away of a very good friend and modeller, Ray Borg.

I only came to know him since I joined SSM, for me he was one of the best modellers the club had, and a very nice person.
with always a smile on his face.

May he rest in peace.

he was a good man and a good friend to all of us... i will miss him in the next airshow this september, sitting by the runway dirinking coffee like we used to!!!

I will not forget his humor, and his big talent in modeling , he had a real passion for aviation in fact this photo was taken in one of the airshows in Malta .Good bye my friend will we not forget you .......

Another good man and modeller gone by in the space of 3 years

The last time I saw/spoke to him was during HiS2009 when I walked by his shop on my way to Net TV and the memory is still fresh of a very fragile Ray Borg I was lost for words when I saw him like that and am lost for words today as well

Although I had met Ray a few times, and he also came to my shop where we chatted for a while, I could understand that he was a good person.

As he has perished from this world, so we will follow him one day…….

Our small family of brother modellers has lost another brave soul. Ray was a very kind person, a very good modeller and a friend. Surely his suffering on this planet shall be glorified with eternal grace in the other world.

May you rest in peace my friend Ray, surely you are near Marco by now and please watch over us from the grace of God.

Met Ray a while ago at hospital...he looked fragile and weak but little did i know...though sometimes you get that bad feeling...

A real good guy indeed...will be missed as we have missed him these past few years over his fight with the disease....

I will try to remember him in his good days when he used to cheer up the club with his presence. He was such a cheerful person and a gentleman too. May his blessed soul rest in eternal peace after so much suffering.

I last spoke to him on the mobile phone a few days ago, his voice was weak but gave me the impression that he'll be fighting on till the end.... then this morning my mobile rang again with a call from Ray Borg.... but this time it was Pauline to give me this terrible news, God bless her for being there for him to his last breath. GOOD BYE RAY RIP

This is indeed sad news. I used to stop to talk to him quite often in winter when i called for my daughter at school (ST. Joseph). It used to be good to find someone to talk about modeling to when waiting. I shall miss his smile and 'empty' space. He suffered enough here, i hope that he is getting the reward he deserved.

I had known Ray before the SSM was set up way back when the MAE ( Malta Aircraft Enthusiasts) had a Modellers sectcion and he was already a very good modeller.
I will miss you. May you rest in peace.
