For those interested Tamiya has launched the new Matilda in 1/35 finally [the most famous calendar tank in Malta], it already on sale in EU, USA and Asia, locally might be next year Sad apart the Matilda there is also the 1/48 Austin Tilly, very promising and also the Citroen Saloon car in 1/35. Would be nice to see the Matilda in 1/48 and the Austin in 1/35 as well, but that is another sad story!

Bronco Models should be releasing an A13 good for Malta and seems for September a new Canadian Bofors [not sure if good for Malta as this Canadian thing is new to me].
Reviews and fotos on Armorama and Perthminiatures sites.

LuckyModels till date has the best offer for the Matilda ... happy shopping!

That is a nice idea Ray!

We now at least there were 3 Matildas with different names, the most photogenic was Griffon ... but we need to browse the IWM photos more and sort of checking some private collection ...

Yes do check whatever you need to check, but get them ready for HiS 2010 Twisted Evil

It would be a very good interesting theme if you had to make this materialise till next year's HiS re advertising etc.........

Maybe a dumb question but here it goes.......Waltzing Matilda has anything to do with this Matilda Shocked ? I do know that it has a connection with the Australian Maltese Rolling Eyes or something like that, but otherwise I'm in the blind cyclops but always seeking a topic/s to PULL the crowds to our HiS cheers and I'm already dreaming what to say (nitpeclaq on TV) if this has the connection I want it to have Idea No

    Bravu Marco!!!

It's true that you rarely make a model, but still we of SSM would be NOTHING without you I love you
Your loud (that can be heard when you say them to us) and sometimes silent INSTIGATIONS have inspired MOST of us from day1 at SSM and along these years and to this I'm always indebted to you as I rarely take shortcuts with the fear that you may NOTICE even though you're not into figures (those 4 CLASSIC BLUNDERS way back in '88 I think, will remain imprinted forever in my mind) Suspect

So what do you think of my proposal re Matilda Suspect ?

    Keep safe........

ray walzing matilda has nothing to do with the maltese australian connection. the song/anthem was and still is considered as the unofficial australian national anthem

Probably the noise of a hit Matilda by 75mm [as it did not pentrate] instigated the rythm of the song, but when Rommel decided to put his 88mm into action the waltzing matilda tour had to be cancelled ... tongue
