Much better Sammy, maybe just adding some dusting effects [but with paint not pigments] on the lower parts to create more a seasoned Ifrir!

aw Iv yes that's my idea but when everything is ready I'll start weathering
I think I will mix some sand colour witht he base colour of the red to blend everything together( in a very diluted mix) or is there another method?

IMO block the area that is gonna be weathered by adding the 'sand' colour to the red. When completly dry re-work the weathering again as appropriate. The first process will help as a pediment, especially not having a contrast between the base colour [red/balck for cape] and the weathering effects, especially of you gonna be working with glazes ... keep them coming mate!

That's exactly what I did on my Knight of Christ, (also suggested by Ivan) and IMO turned out very good.

Lovely mate!
Apart the great paint job I am seeing a big improvement in the groundwork! Bravo.
My only nit picking apart that AVATAR ... you put blood on the axe which looks too much especially as the figure has non on him, battles at that period especially foot soldier meant messy business ... so I would rather keep the metal clean and maybe a darker and having just the cutting edge shiny ... x'tahseb!

I am no figure painter Sam but it looks brilliant, simply lovely and the figure experts before me also agree. I love it, what a brilliant piece.

LOVE IT
Good point from Ivan re axe & as always very good of you to correct whatever is necessary to IMPROVE
As you can see, better pics make the piece appear as close to reality as can be, and thus appreciated much more
